Privacy Policy
Effective September 27, 2026
QR With Style (“we,” “us”) provides tools for creating, saving, and sharing QR codes. Contact us about this policy or your information at contact@qrwithstyle.com.
Information we handle
- Account: When you sign in with Google or a verified email/password account, we receive your Firebase account identifier, verified email address, and any display name. Firebase Authentication processes passwords, password resets and email verification; our application does not store your password in its database. We use them to sign you in and identify your saved designs.
- QR designs: We process the text or destination you enter, your design settings, and any logo you upload to generate a QR code. For each design you create, we save the destination, design name, generated PNG, SVG, and PDF files, creation time, favorites, and email addresses you choose for sharing. We do not save the original uploaded logo as a separate file.
- Subscriptions: We keep plan usage, subscription status, and Stripe customer and subscription identifiers to provide paid access. Stripe collects and processes payment details; we do not receive your full card number.
- Sticker orders: We save the purchased artwork, quantities, dimensions, material, price, payment references, recipient name, shipping address, phone number, tracking details, and order status history to print and deliver your stickers. Stripe collects payment and shipping details during checkout. Authorized staff can access order details for fulfillment; delivery providers receive the information needed to ship your order.
- Support and technical data: If you email us, we receive your message and address. Our hosting and service providers may process IP addresses, device and browser information, and request logs to deliver and protect the service.
Why we use it
We use this information to authenticate accounts, create and store QR codes, show saved designs, give access to people you invite, enforce free and paid plan limits, manage subscriptions, fulfill sticker orders, show delivery updates, answer support requests, and protect the service against misuse. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
Sharing and service providers
A person whose email address you add to a design can view and download that design after signing in with that address. You control which email addresses you add; do not put private information in a QR destination you intend to distribute.
You can also enable a public image link for a QR code you own. Anyone with that link can view the QR image and scan its destination. The link does not show your account details or library. You can disable it at any time, which revokes the link.
Google provides sign-in, hosting, and data storage; Stripe processes subscriptions and payments. Cloudflare provides DNS and email routing, and Google handles our support inbox. These providers process information needed to operate those services under their own terms and privacy notices. Information may be processed outside your country, including in the United States.
ChatGPT and Codex connections
When you connect our plugin, we store OAuth client registrations and access, refresh, and connection-grant records to authenticate the connection and enforce its read/write permissions. The host receives the tool results needed for your request, including your account name, email and identifier, allowance, design names, destinations, settings, design identifiers, creation times, sharing status, and short-lived artwork links. Uploaded logos are sent through the editor when you choose them. OpenAI handles information shared through ChatGPT or Codex under its own terms and privacy policy. Our operational timing logs record tool names and durations, without destinations, customer identities, tokens, or artwork bytes.
Preview and download links expire after five minutes. Anyone holding an unexpired link can use it while its connection and design access remain valid. Disconnecting revokes the connection and its links. Deleting your account removes its OAuth records. Expired OAuth records are cleaned up periodically.
Storage and retention
Your browser holds temporary preview and download links while you work. You can revoke a recipient, delete a saved design, or delete your account in the app. Account deletion cancels an active subscription and removes saved designs, sharing grants, profile data, and unpaid orders. Paid order records preserve the purchased artwork, address, payment references, and fulfillment history even if a saved design or account is deleted. Failed or expired unpaid orders are normally removed after 30 days. Completed paid orders are normally retained for seven years, processed Stripe event identifiers for 90 days, and security audit records for two years, unless law, accounting, fraud prevention, disputes, or provider backup schedules require a different period.
Local storage and authentication
The site stores your light or dark theme choice in your browser. Google Firebase Authentication stores information needed to keep you signed in. We do not currently use advertising or analytics trackers.
Your choices and rights
Creating, saving, sharing, and subscribing require a verified account. You may sign out at any time, manage design access in My QR codes, and delete your account from the profile menu. To ask about, access, correct, export, or delete retained information, contact contact@qrwithstyle.com. We may need to verify that the request is yours. Your rights may vary by location, and we will respond as applicable law requires.
Security and changes
We use HTTPS and restrict access to stored account and design data. No online service can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy as the service changes; the effective date above will show the latest version.
